Andy Warhol’s “Silver Clouds” at TUMO Center for Creative Technologies
An educational activity, exploring four main techniques of Andy Warhol.
2 parts — theoretical and practical.
Throughout the weekdays, students of all permanent workshops will concepts behind Warhol's most important masterpiecese. On Saturday group sessions, students receive instructions to create their own versions of the artist's work.
1st week — Campbell's Soup. On Saturday, students bring their ideas and produce a pop-art stylized photo of a symbolic product of consumption in contemporary Armenia, one serving as nowadays' local Campbell's soup
2nd week — Screen Tests. On Saturday, students pose for two-and-a-half-minute film reels on a stationary camera.
3rd week — Self-Portrait. On Saturday, students create GIF-technique self-portraits using repetitive images, each slightly different to the another, and then overlap the images.
4th week — Time Capsules. On last Saturday of the month, students bring various objects from their daily life, from bus tickets to fast food wrapping peppers, and seal them in plain cardboard boxes.

I. Digital Life of Andy
AI-powered chatbot of Andy Warhol
As part of the PR campaign of the upcoming exhibition, a group of students under the supervision of two workshop leaders creates an AI-powered chatbot of Andy Warhol, answering questions about art, life and food, including his famous diet.
II. INSTANT TUMO
Polaroid-powered portrait of Armenian art scene
Carrying Polaroid camera from the late 1950s, Andy Warhol took photos of people he met, self-portraits and portraits of celebrities from Alfred Hitchcock to Yves Saint Laurent. During the Silver Clouds exhibition opening at TUMO, students of this workshop will be taking portraits of people attending it to chronicle this event of historic importance for the Armenian cultural scene.
III. Fifteen Minutes at TUMO
Facebook Live Interview Sessions
In 1969 Andy Warhol founded the “Interview” magazine featuring unedited conversations between artists, musicians, and creative thinkers. From 1985 to 1987, Warhol hosted a talk show on MTV. “Andy Warhol’s Fifteen Minutes” was made up of interviews of up and coming musicians. To celebrate Warhol’s love to the genre of interview and showcase Armenian creative talents, TUMO students under a supervision of a learning lab leader with TV background will stage series of conversations between Armenia’s creative thinkers, aired on Facebook Live via the Tumo Center’s Facebook oficial page.
